At Cafe 86, the focus is firmly on Southeast Asian-inspired treats, particularly ones featuring the beloved ube (purple yam). This café is renowned for its innovative offerings that blend traditional flavors with modern flair. Take, for instance, their enticing Combo Packs, which come with not just one, but multiple ways to savor delightful flavors. The Combo Pack #1 features four luscious Ube Truffles paired with a refreshing 24oz Hibiscus Calamansi drink, all for just US$18.25. Imagine sinking your teeth into the creamy truffles while sipping on the tart and invigorating drink—absolute bliss!

If you have a penchant for cheesecakes, the Combo Pack #3 will no doubt entice you with its Ube Crack Cheesecake that beautifully balances taste and texture. And for anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a hands-on dessert experience, the famous Upside Down Halo Halo is a must-try. One customer, Sidharth Mehta, raved about the impressive quantity and blend of ingredients including boba, ice cream, and flan—it's a whirlwind of flavors in every bite!

Another must-have drink is the Matcha Pandan Latte, praised for its unique flavor profile that combines smooth matcha and creamy coconut milk with a refreshing hint of pandan. As customer Phelan Riessen noted, this drink is a delightful combination that leaves you wanting more and encapsulates the café's essence of unique and exciting flavors.

The atmosphere at Cafe 86 matches its delightful menu. Despite being smaller than their previous location, the café maintains a cozy, trendy vibe that makes it a comfortable retreat from the bustling life outside. You’ll find ample seating spaces where you can relax and enjoy your treats at a leisurely pace while sipping on drinks like the soft and chewy Strawberry Calamansi drink, which truly highlights the tartness of calamansi, as described by frequent visitors.

CAFE 86 IS BAAAACK!!! They used to be in the Seafood City plaza but moved. I was so sad when they closed but I’m glad they were able to relocate to another spot close to Mira Mesa! I love going here, one of my favorite spots to get SEA desserts and drinks. You can never go wrong got their Matcha Pandan Latte for freeeee and also love their tres leches cake and ube flan cupcake!!

Cute little cafe with a wide variety of food and drink options! The prices are relatively low, but toppings are a little bit pricey. I got the strawberry calamansi and I really liked how the calamansi shined through. The boba was nice and soft and chewy, but was not sweetened. There are many places to sit and there are also snack options like ube flavored desserts and mochi churros. We didn't try but will definitely come back soon to try.

I ordered a upside-down Halo milkshake. Its a little pricy but it has good quantity and lot of stuff in it, like Boba, ive cream, flan, flakes, candied fruit and ube milkshake. I am not sure about the combination but individually everything felt good quality. Also tried the ube cheesecake and ube flan cupcake, the concept is good. I doubt that i will be a repeat customer. Maybe the less gimicky stuff is worth it. The cafe itself has a good ambience and the staff is polite.

Excited for their new location close to home. They have a variety of drinks and desserts that will be refreshing on a summer day. Their new location is smaller than their prior one, but it makes it up with their charm!

Stopped by for the upside down halo-halo (which is always amazing!) and decided to try the new matcha pandan latte as well. It was my first time having pandan (grass plant), and I really enjoyed the smooth blend of matcha and coconut milk, with a subtle, refreshing twist from the pandan. A unique and delicious combo I’ll definitely be back for.

First time trying their upside down halo halo here. Impressed that they don't use all the regular mix-ins like beans. It did have the jelly cubes that I like with jack rabbit and ube ice cream. Overall a great dessert place which I'll have to try out their other items.

I've only been here twice so far but service and food have been amazing and excellent both times. Both young ladies are very welcoming when i've come in and always greet everyone as they walk in. The inside is a little dark and maybe moody but it's also a bit trendy and kind of like a "get away" zone from the outside. There's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is quiet. When i first walked in there was a couple studying/doing homework and another person reading. It's a cute little cafe and i like that i can go in, sit down, read a book and not be bothered. My first time was a walk in order and i didn't have to wait long even though i ordered 4 drinks and a few desserts. I got a biscoff cookie smoothie, an oreo smoothie, an ube monster?, a classic halo halo, 2 ube truffles, a cupcake and something else. Everything was sooo good, my kids stole the drinks and i got to eat the desserts haha. My second order was an online order and when i walked in to pick it up the girl handed it to me and asked if i needed any utensils or napkins. Their ube truffles are my absolute favorite item here and i could probably die happy eating one. Their halo halo is also good and so are all the drink options they offer. Honestly, i'm glad they opened a location here and i hope they continue to thrive and do great. Their desserts are amazing and service is very friendly.
